About the role#
As a summer 2027 intern with our Construction Administration and Management team, you will gain hands-on experience on civil infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced staff on tasks including public utility, heavy highway, municipal street, airport, water treatment, and wastewater recovery projects. This role involves working in various types of terrain and weather conditions. Please note that weekend work or overnight travel may be required.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction management, administration, observation, and inspection duties.
- Inspect and perform tests on project sites to ensure work meets project requirements.
- Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes.
- Identify and avoid potential safety hazards on project sites.
- Develop skills in project documentation, contractor management, and stakeholder communication.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in construction management, civil engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in varied weather and terrain conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving history.
- Ability to work overtime hours during the summer as needed.
