About the role#
As a civil engineering intern on the Rail Traffic and Public Projects team, you will perform hands-on work that connects your classroom experience to real-world projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support our clients, manage project assignments, and contribute to the success of public infrastructure initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate public projects on behalf of railroad clients.
- Provide project management services and support project progression from start to finish.
- Maintain clear communication and timely reporting for clients and government agency sponsors.
- Travel to job sites for observation as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- This is a remote position based in Utah.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
