About the role#
As a Protection & Controls Student Intern, you will support engineering initiatives and projects through a variety of administrative and technical tasks. This role is based in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and offers the opportunity to gain experience in project management and engineering operations.
What you'll do#
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases to track project data.
- Create project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
- Assist in the management of small capital or expense projects.
- Develop project savings and justification documents.
- Apply engineering principles to help solve project issues.
- Handle clerical tasks such as document creation, review, and filing.
- Produce operational and maintenance training documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university, with a preference for students pursuing degrees in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting, priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
