About the role#
As a Substation Student Intern, you will support engineering initiatives and projects through a variety of tasks. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Fort Mill, South Carolina. We offer rolling start dates for qualified students.
What you'll do#
- Maintain spreadsheets and databases to support project tracking.
- Create operational and maintenance training documentation and help aids.
- Develop project schedules, milestones, and deliverables using Microsoft Project.
- Assist in the management of small capital or expense projects.
- Help solve technical issues by applying engineering principles and practices.
- Manage engineering project spending documentation and create project savings justifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
