About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to support the Engineering department at Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation. You will work on projects related to power production, power delivery, and transmission facilities. The role involves a mix of office-based analytical work and field assignments at various facilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering staff with daily duties and project tasks.
- Use computer systems to analyze, model, and assemble data.
- Help with procurement and contracting for equipment, materials, or labor.
- Organize documents to meet records management standards.
- Perform process mapping.
- Conduct field work at different company facilities.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid state driver license.
- Comfort working in challenging weather conditions during plant testing.
