About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join the System Protection Engineering department. This role supports the company transmission and distribution grids. You will work alongside experienced team members on various projects while completing individual assignments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with transmission, distribution, or distributed generation projects.
- Complete work assignments focused on relay protection and coordination.
- Develop logic designs and analyze operational performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a 4-year Bachelor degree program for Electrical Engineering at an ABET accredited school.
- Expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (a 3.3 GPA is strongly preferred).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team.
- Proficiency in time management and organizing tasks.
- Analytical skills for solving complex problems and interpreting codes or regulations.
- Experience with programming languages like VBA, Python.NET, or C# is preferred for automation tasks.

- Work Modality: Hybrid (3-2 schedule).
