About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based at the North Anna Power Station in Mineral, Virginia. You will work within the Design Engineering department during the summer of 2027. The role focuses on maintaining the design basis of the station through engineering expertise and calculations.
What you'll do#
- Support the long-term reliability of the station by preparing and implementing design changes and modifications.
- Assist with projects produced by Station Design, Station Projects, and external engineering vendors.
- Prepare and revise engineering calculations.
- Conduct inspections of station equipment and structures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering program at an ABET-accredited 4-year university.
- A GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- A graduation date of December 2028 or later.
- Strong professional ethics and an inquisitive nature.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Solid engineering, technical writing, and computer skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
