About the role#
PPL Corporation is hiring a Mechanical or Civil Engineering Co-op for the Spring 2027 semester. This full-time position is based on-site in Louisville, Kentucky. You will work with experienced professionals to gain practical experience in the utility industry.
What you'll do#
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data using established engineering procedures.
- Perform routine engineering tasks, including calculations, testing, and analysis.
- Support operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting and technical evaluations.
- Assist engineers with large-scale projects and initiatives.
- Help develop engineering goals, budgets, and procedures.
- Promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Review assignments for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
What you'll need#
- Availability to work full time from January through May 2027.
- Enrollment in an ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree program.
- A declared major in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 2.50.
