About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Cypress, California, as part of the Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems team. This position lasts 12 to 14 weeks and follows a 9/80 work schedule.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering staff with research, design support, documentation, and testing.
- Conduct design analysis and calculations under the supervision of experienced engineers.
- Help with design details and drafting tasks.
- Gather and assemble technical data.
- Provide regular status updates on your progress.
- Complete assigned tasks within established timelines.
- Learn about company engineering methods, programs, and practices.
- Support and reinforce the organization's mission and culture.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completion of an Associate degree or at least 3rd-year status in an Engineering curriculum.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain or maintain an active DOD security clearance.
- Ability to work on-site in Cypress, CA.
- Preferred skills include experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD), mechanical assembly, and machine shop work.
