About the role#
We are hiring a Mechanical Engineering intern for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Carlsbad, California, supporting our engineering team with new product development and factory operations for existing products.
What you'll do#
- Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory maintenance.
- Work with mechanical designers to create and update CAD models and part documentation.
- Generate and process engineering change orders (ECOs).
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field.
- Exposure to CAD or FEA analysis tools is preferred.
- Experience with mechanical design, electronic systems, structures, mechanisms, gear trains, or motion control is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Carlsbad, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
- Compensation: $25.50 to $48.00 per hour.
