About the role#
As an intern on the Supply Chain team in Northampton, you will support a cross-functional group to develop supply chain strategies and material execution plans. You will serve as a primary interface between the Program office, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Operations, and the customer. This role involves managing material plans, overseeing costs and schedules, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
What you'll do#
- Develop and execute Material Management Plans to support the program lifecycle.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create a schedule-based Material Requirements Plan (MRP).
- Maintain open communication channels between Supply Chain and Program teams to ensure alignment.
- Support strategic supplier relationships and coordinate Subcontracts involvement during requirements development.
- Review Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW).
- Manage material financial budgets and forecasts, including variance explanations.
- Analyze key performance indicators to identify and address challenged areas.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Classroom experience in Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency in SAP S4 Hanna and Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, assembly, and ATP processes.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or other relevant lean experience is preferred.

- This position is based in Northampton, Massachusetts.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where employees work 80 hours over 9 days in a 14-day period with every other Friday off.
