About the role#
This internship supports the Aggregates and Construction Materials division at Amrize. You will bridge the gap between commercial strategy, logistics planning, and customer operations. The role provides experience in how materials like crushed stone, sand, gravel, and ready-mix concrete move from production to market. You will work on projects that help optimize supply chain efficiency while supporting regional sales strategy.
What you'll do#
- Analyze logistics networks, dispatch scheduling, and material movement to identify opportunities for route optimization, cost reduction, and timely delivery.
- Evaluate regional market trends, construction project pipelines, and competitor positioning to support pricing strategies and sales growth.
- Join sales account managers on client visits and site tours across quarries, ready-mix plants, and customer job sites.
- Collaborate with plant operations and sales teams to align product inventory levels with commercial sales forecasts.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols and procedures.
- Apply your skills and knowledge to day-to-day operations.
- Present your learnings and contributions to the executive leadership team at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program majoring in Supply Chain Management, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong academic performance.
- Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach and high energy when tackling new challenges.
- Ability to collaborate with team members across different levels of the organization.
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field.
Location & details#
- Location: Eagan, Minnesota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks beginning June 1, 2027).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Note: You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the worksite. Travel may be required for site tours and shadowing experiences.
