About the role#
Northrop Grumman is hiring a Mechanical Engineer Intern for our Marine Systems Business Unit. You will work on mission-enabling solutions for global security. This internship is based in Sunnyvale, California, and takes place during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects within the Marine Systems Business Unit.
- Develop mission-enabling solutions for global security.
- Gain hands-on experience in a professional engineering environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- You must remain enrolled full-time for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
- Experience or coursework in Machine Design.
- Proficiency with Computer Aided Design software like SolidWorks or NX.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
