About the role#
As a Piping Mechanical Engineering intern, you will report to the Piping and Supports Senior Manager at the Rock Hill facility. This is a full-time, paid, hybrid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced piping and pipe support engineers on design and analysis for Generation II, III+, and IV nuclear power plants.
- Perform pipe stress analysis for nuclear and non-nuclear systems according to relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct thermal design for hot and cold piping, seismic analysis, hydrodynamic load evaluation, and pressure design.
- Develop pipe support designs, including selecting engineered components and performing stress analyses.
- Coordinate with partners on new designs and plant modifications.
- Manage your own schedule to meet assignment requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.

- Compensation: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
