About the role#
Westinghouse Electric Company is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work on the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical and control systems for nuclear facilities and products. This is a full-time, paid position based in either Rock Hill or Columbia, South Carolina. You will report to a department manager and work in a hybrid or on-site capacity from May through August.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of system architecture drawings and schematics.
- Assist with hardware design, documentation, and validation.
- Participate in manufacturing, functional testing, and procurement documentation.
- Help write technical specifications and procedures.
- Engage in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Electrical Engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.
- Interest in control systems, instrumentation, or power systems.
- Familiarity with electrical design concepts and drawings.

- Locations: Rock Hill, SC or Columbia, SC.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May - August).
- Work Modality: Hybrid or on-site.
- Compensation: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
