About the role#
Westinghouse Electric Company is hiring a Supplier Performance Engineering Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time position is based on-site in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. You will support the Nuclear Fuels business unit by helping to monitor and improve the performance of our suppliers.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the oversight of suppliers through remote and on-site evaluations to ensure they meet technical and quality requirements.
- Help develop plans to monitor supplier activities, including manufacturing processes, testing, and documentation.
- Work with internal teams like Supply Chain and Design Engineering to improve supplier outcomes.
- Identify and report risks or quality issues to help ensure prompt resolution.
- Track performance metrics such as on-time delivery and quality data to assist with improvement plans.
- Review supplier process documents and contribute to design for manufacturability discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Nursing.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- A basic understanding of manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and assembly.
- Familiarity with process capability analysis and quality tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
