About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Engineering intern to join the Rapid Response department at the Millstone Power Station for the Summer 2027 term. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to maintain the design basis of the station and support long-term operational reliability. This is a full-time, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and support the implementation of design changes and modifications.
- Assist with projects managed by the Station Design and Station Projects organizations.
- Coordinate with external vendors and architect-engineers contracted by the station.
- Create or revise engineering calculations.
- Perform inspections of station equipment and structures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering program at a 4-year university.
- A minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- An inquisitive nature and strong professional ethics.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
