About the role#
The Mt. Storm Power Station is seeking an Instrument Technician Intern to support station operations and maintenance. You will work alongside experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience with power generation equipment and industrial maintenance practices. This role provides exposure to plant operations while you develop technical and professional skills in a team-oriented environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the inspection, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation used to monitor and control plant equipment.
- Support preventative maintenance activities.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Participate in equipment inspections.
- Assist with projects related to instrumentation and control systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 2-year or 4-year school pursuing a Bachelor or Associate Technology degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or a comparable discipline.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- An anticipated graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and attention to detail.
- A commitment to safety and continuous learning.

- Location: Mount Storm, West Virginia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour.
