About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work on network device testing and engineering design. You will join the engineering team to evaluate hardware and software, contribute to design projects, and maintain technical records. This role is based in Tampa, Florida, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of network devices to ensure performance and reliability.
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting and document results.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on the design and development of new devices.
- Create prototypes and produce technical documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Participate in team discussions to share insights and improve device performance.
- Maintain accurate records of testing procedures and design modifications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited university as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
- Major in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Basic knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and devices.
- A solid foundation in engineering principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Enrollment in a university co-op program is preferred.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Part-time (20-30 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
- Note: You will visit the field approximately once a month, which may involve riding in company vehicles, walking on uneven surfaces, and entering substations.
