About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering intern for the Component Engineering department at the North Anna Power Station. This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site in Mineral, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Write technical documents to assess plant conditions and equipment failures.
- Analyze equipment performance trends, including conducting field walkdowns.
- Develop minor design changes to help improve station reliability.
- Assist with the development of major design changes for long-term station improvements.
- Provide technical input to station departments regarding equipment concerns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Engineering program, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
- An anticipated graduation date of December 2028 or later.
- A GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
