    About the role#

    As a Product Engineering intern, you will report to the Grids and Core Component Design Manager. This is a paid, full-time hybrid position for the summer of 2027.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform routine engineering design analyses using established Westinghouse methodologies.
    • Develop new nuclear fuel products and improve existing ones.
    • Collaborate in teams focused on product development or issue resolution.
    • Initiate and support testing activities for nuclear fuel and related components.
    • Evaluate and document test results in formal reports.
    • Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to support design work.
    • Implement design changes to improve manufacturability.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Completion of your Sophomore year of college.
    • A solid understanding of basic engineering principles and techniques.

    • Location: Columbia, South Carolina.
    • Term: May to August 2027.
    • Work Modality: Hybrid.
    • Compensation: $25.40 to $29.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
