About the role#
As a Property Accounting Student with Tampa Electric, you will support the maintenance and monitoring of property, plant, and equipment. This role involves project analysis, reconciliation, and managing the closure of capital work orders. You will gain hands-on experience by assisting with monthly closeout activities and financial reporting within a professional office environment.
What you'll do#
- Review and analyze CWIP work orders to manage in-service dates for company assets.
- Complete the unitization of work orders to categorize assets into the correct depreciation accounts.
- Calculate, analyze, and report on monthly AFUDC and depreciation.
- Assist the team with monthly closeout tasks and ad-hoc information requests.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- Junior or Senior standing.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proof of enrollment in a university co-op program.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 to 30 hours per week.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
- Note: Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
