About the role#
Minnkota Power Cooperative is hiring an Accounting Assistant Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This full-time, paid position is based at our office in Grand Forks, North Dakota. You will work within the Financial Services department to gain hands-on experience with accounting systems and financial workflows while receiving mentorship from our staff.
What you'll do#
- Process vendor invoices.
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure invoices are coded according to company policies.
- Maintain organized financial records.
- Support month-end close activities.
- Communicate with internal departments and external vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting or related degree program.
- Demonstrated academic progress in accounting coursework is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn and contribute within a team environment.

- Compensation: Starts at $15.30 per hour, based on education and experience.
