About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Engineering department at Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation. You will work on projects related to power production, power delivery operations, and transmission facilities. This role is designed for students who want to support our mission of delivering reliable and affordable electricity.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering staff with daily tasks and project support.
- Analyze, model, and assemble data using computer-based systems.
- Organize and review documents to meet records management standards.
- Help with procurement and contracting for equipment, materials, and construction labor.
- Perform field work at various company facilities.
- Assist with process mapping.
- Monitor and incorporate changes to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an EAC of ABET accredited program.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Comfort working in challenging weather conditions during plant testing.
