About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work on real-world challenges within the utility and energy sector. You will be paired with a mentor to help you apply your knowledge and grow your skills. Throughout the summer, you will work with cross-functional teams on various projects and build your professional network through intern events. The program concludes with a presentation at the annual Intern Expo to showcase your assigned project.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a mentor and team members on utility projects.
- Gain hands-on experience using industry-relevant software and tools.
- Communicate effectively and openly with your team.
- Present your project findings at the annual Intern Expo.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited institution.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- Legal authorization to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Westminster, California.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with expectations to report to an SCE facility for a set number of days.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May/June to August/September).
- Employment: Full-time and paid internship.
