About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Engineering department at Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation. You will support projects focused on power production, delivery operations, and transmission facilities. This is a paid, full-time position for Summer 2027 based in Little Rock, Arkansas.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineering staff with daily duties and ongoing projects.
- Use computer systems to analyze, model, and assemble project data.
- Organize and review documents to meet division records management standards.
- Help with procurement and contracting for equipment, materials, and construction labor.
- Perform field work at various company facilities.
- Create and update process maps.
- Monitor and implement changes to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of detail and accuracy in your work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Comfort working in challenging weather conditions during plant testing activities.
