About the role#
Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation is hiring an Electrical Engineering intern to support our Power Production and Delivery departments. You will work alongside our engineering staff to maintain reliable power services for our members. This role involves a mix of office-based data analysis and hands-on field work at our facilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist with projects focused on power production, delivery operations, and transmission facilities.
- Use computer systems to analyze, model, and assemble technical data.
- Organize project documentation to meet internal records management standards.
- Help with the procurement and contracting process for equipment, materials, and labor.
- Perform field work at various company sites, including work in challenging weather conditions.
- Map internal processes and assist engineering staff with their daily duties.
- Monitor and follow all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering program accredited by the EAC of ABET.
- A valid state driver license.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite and general technical aptitude.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
- A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
