About the role#
As a Circular Innovation Co-op student, you will join the Care & Repair team to support the development and implementation of repairability requirements for our circular product ranges. You will work alongside sustainability, design, and product development teams to ensure our products meet high standards for longevity and end-of-life requirements. This role offers exposure to the operational side of circularity and provides a foundation for careers in supply chain and product innovation.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate the qualification of circular products in partnership with the Sustainability team.
- Implement and develop repairability requirements for new product ranges.
- Collect and analyze product returns data, sharing insights with product development teams.
- Create presentation decks to showcase returns data and repairability metrics.
- Assist with testing new materials, tools, and repair methods.
- Organize repair trials with the Arc’One ReBird Repair Centre and design teams.
- Co-own the circular product wear and wash testing program.
- Track project milestones and timelines within project management platforms.
- Document and improve repair standards, manuals, and techniques.
- Compile information for external circularity surveys and reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a third- or fourth-year student in fashion, textile science, or sustainability.
- Experience with quantitative data analysis and Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage your workload proactively.
- Critical thinking skills and the ability to explain the rationale behind your decisions.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- A growth mindset and natural curiosity.
- Flexibility and adaptability when working through ambiguity.
- A commitment to doing what is right and identifying the root cause of issues.
Location & details#
- Location: North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Term: Eight months, from January 8, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: Hybrid work arrangement.
- Compensation: $42,100 to $58,200, depending on year of study and experience.
