About the role#
This position is for a student worker at the Chick-fil-A location on the Middle Tennessee State University campus. This is a full-time, paid role available for the Summer 2026 term. We welcome students from various academic backgrounds, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nursing, Health Administration, Kinesiology, Psychology, Communications, and Sociology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Store food according to safety standards.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Serve customers while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear a uniform and personal protective equipment.
