About the role#
This internship provides students with hands-on experience in the Forensic Accounting and Claims Consulting practice. You will work alongside professionals ranging from consultants to directors on a variety of client engagements. The program focuses on how our team assists corporations in quantifying and presenting insurance claims following a covered loss.
What you'll do#
- Design financial and accounting models to quantify losses related to business interruption, property damage, extra expense, cyber product recall, and employee fidelity claims.
- Perform revenue and expense forecasting.
- Prepare annual business interruption and property renewal values for companies across various industries.
- Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Develop sensitivity analyses for loss measurements.
- Reconcile claim amounts against accounting systems and insurer calculations.
- Manage tasks across multiple engagements with different project sizes and scopes.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, and Microsoft Word.
- Strong organizational, time management, and data management skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. (U.S. citizen or permanent resident).
