About the role#
Ankura is offering a Summer 2027 internship within the Risk Advisory, Forensics practice. This role is designed to provide students with experience in forensic accounting, financial investigations, and litigation consulting. Interns function as full-time Associates, working on client objectives and gaining exposure to the nuances of financial records. You will work alongside professionals ranging from Associates to Senior Managing Directors.
What you'll do#
- Perform accounting-related analyses and convey results to internal project leads.
- Apply financial and analytical skills to client issues, including transactional data analysis, fund tracing, and damage calculations.
- Assist in designing and implementing project workplans and investigations.
- Develop analyses to assess complex fact patterns and prepare reports summarizing findings.
- Document and maintain detailed workpaper records, including methodologies and sources.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality work products within established timeframes.
- Participate in engagement activities, internal and external networking, and corporate social responsibility events.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance with an expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Interest in pursuing a CPA license upon graduation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP and GAAS, along with familiarity with SEC rules and regulations.
- Strong quantitative, qualitative, and mathematical research skills.
- Ability to adapt to multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
