About the role#
As a Civil Structural Intern, you will join our team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. This is a full-time position where you will assist in the investigation and analysis of various structures. You will gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges while working under the guidance of our experienced consultants.
What you'll do#
- Visit sites to inspect existing structures and document their condition or damage.
- Create dimensional documentation to help us understand existing structural systems.
- Review technical literature, project drawings, and reports.
- Prepare AutoCAD drawings for proposed repairs or structural retrofits.
- Perform structural analysis using software like SAP2000.
- Organize data and present calculations using MathCAD and Excel.
- Write technical reports that clearly communicate your findings.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 3 years of a Civil Engineering or Physics degree program.
- A GPA of 3.00 or higher is preferred.
- Intermediate skills in CAD and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel for trips lasting up to three days.
- Previous experience in field investigations, structural design, or technical report writing is a plus.

- Location: Peachtree Corners, GA.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in various physical positions, and access tight or confined spaces. You will work in both office and field environments, including active construction sites and damaged structures.
