About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Structural Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in St. Petersburg, Florida. You will support our consultants as they investigate and analyze structural failures and site damage. This role involves both office work and field inspections.
What you'll do#
- Assist consultants during forensic inspections at both laboratory and field sites.
- Help with file reviews and the preparation of technical reports.
- Document evidence and artifacts using photography, videography, note taking, and dimensional measurements.
- Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8am and 5pm.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for civil, structural, architectural, or materials engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least your freshman year.
- A GPA of 3.30 or higher is preferred.
- Completion or current enrollment in Structural Analysis, Reinforced Concrete Design, and Steel Design.
- Familiarity with CAD software and BIM tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand basic load paths, and apply building codes or ACI load combinations.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel for trips lasting up to three days.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
