About the role#
This internship provides experience within the Forensic Accounting and Claims Consulting practice. You will work alongside professionals ranging from consultants to directors on diverse client projects. The program focuses on how we assist corporations in quantifying and presenting insurance claims after a covered loss. You will gain exposure to fact-finding, cost allocation, damage analysis, and data management.
What you'll do#
- Design financial and accounting models to quantify insurance claim losses, including business interruption, extra expense, property damage, cyber product recall, and employee fidelity.
- Perform revenue and expense forecasting.
- Prepare annual business interruption and property renewal values for various industries.
- Analyze financial statements and related documentation.
- Develop sensitivity analyses for loss measurements.
- Reconcile claim amounts against accounting systems and insurer calculations.
- Participate in multiple engagements with varying project sizes and scopes simultaneously.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, and Microsoft Word.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Commitment to quality and collaborative teamwork.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
