About the role#
Android Industries is looking for an Operations Intern to work at our facility in Roanoke, Indiana. This role provides hands-on experience in manufacturing, including production, team development, quality, safety, and continuous improvement. You will work directly with our teams to support daily operations and improve performance.
What you'll do#
- Support daily manufacturing operations and work with teams across the facility.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development, including updating training materials.
- Monitor performance requirements using the Versatility Matrix.
- Support audits and compliance activities like PVS, SOT, and 5S.
- Validate daily operational documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with staffing and scheduling to meet operational needs.
- Support employee engagement initiatives.
- Use data to solve problems and find improvement opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or Operations Management.
- Completed at least one year of college coursework.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Previous work experience in manufacturing or operations is preferred.
