About the role#
The Lean Material Strategies team creates scalable warehouse and digital solutions to support manufacturing operations. As an intern, you will analyze material flow processes, improve system data accuracy, and help translate operational needs into practical system updates. You will work across teams to improve inventory visibility, space utilization, and line-side delivery performance.
What you'll do#
- Map current warehouse and material flows to identify waste and process variation.
- Analyze WMS and ERP data to find opportunities for improved inventory accuracy, slotting, and replenishment.
- Develop standard work, process maps, and dashboards to support long-term improvements.
- Collaborate with plant operations, logistics, engineering, and IT stakeholders to test and implement solutions.
- Pilot a WMS inventory-accuracy improvement at a selected operation.
- Complete special projects related to safety and technology.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2030.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer of 2027.
- Willingness to work in a plant environment and travel to manufacturing facilities as needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, SQL, or Visio.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, material handling, and inventory control.
- Strong problem-solving and project-management skills.

- Work Modality: Hybrid (requires reporting to Warren at least three times per week).
