    About the role#

    The AV Systems, Sensing and Integration team develops and validates assisted and automated driving capabilities. This internship covers the full vehicle lifecycle, from initial architectural design to final program launch. You will work on-site at the Milford Proving Grounds to support the engineering of safe and reliable driving systems.

    What you'll do#

    • Define system requirements, performance metrics, and safety goals.
    • Collaborate with software and platform teams to integrate hardware and software subsystems.
    • Develop and execute test plans for sensors, features, and vehicle-level evaluations.
    • Create scripts to automate testing on benches and in development vehicles.
    • Perform data mining and use dashboards to analyze system performance.
    • Use simulation and modeling to replicate field issues and accelerate development cycles.
    • Conduct functional bring-up and integration of compute platforms, ECUs, and actuators.
    • Document test results and support root-cause investigations.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics, System Design, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
    • Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
    • Intent to return to your degree program after the internship.
    • Coursework or project experience with Python, Matlab, or embedded microcontrollers.
    • Basic understanding of automotive control systems, ADAS features, or sensors.
    • Familiarity with model-based design tools like MATLAB/Simulink and protocols such as CAN, LIN, or Ethernet.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Milford Proving Grounds.
    • Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.

    • Employment: Full-time.
