About the role#
The EHS Intern supports the Environmental, Health, and Safety team in maintaining a safe and compliant manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position that provides exposure to daily safety practices, regulatory compliance, training coordination, and incident investigations. You will work across the facility to strengthen safety programs and gain practical experience in industrial systems.
What you'll do#
- Support daily safety activities through clear communication and follow-up.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for team members.
- Conduct workplace safety observations, audits, and facility walkthroughs.
- Document findings and track corrective actions.
- Assist with incident reporting, injury investigations, and data collection for EHS reports.
- Support emergency preparedness, evacuation drills, and safety countermeasures.
- Participate in Safety Team meetings and track action items.
- Monitor chemical inventory, hazardous waste handling, and pollution prevention efforts.
- Maintain environmental documentation related to air, water, and ISO 14001 activities.
- Keep accurate records and training files.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of safety principles, standards, and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with team members at all levels.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable taking initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
