About the role#
Webasto Group is hiring an HSE Intern for a full-time, paid, rolling internship based on-site in Plymouth, Michigan. This role offers the chance to gain practical experience in health, safety, and environmental operations within the motor vehicle manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and organize HSE records, including training logs, incidents, audits, and permits.
- Support document control for HSE policies, procedures, and reports.
- Update trackers for injuries, near misses, inspections, and CAPAs while verifying data accuracy.
- Prepare meeting minutes, dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance activities related to ISO standards.
- Help maintain legal registers and audit documentation.
- Conduct basic inspections and assist with risk and ergonomic assessments.
- Support HSE projects, training activities, and site events.
- Assist with SDS updates, LOTO inventory, and training coordination.
- Provide general HSE administrative support and assist with internal communications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of HSE concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a focus on teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
