About the role#
Webasto Group is hiring an SCM Intern for a rolling, full-time, on-site position in Plymouth, Michigan. This role provides hands-on experience in supply chain and operations functions.
What you'll do#
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques to improve material movement from suppliers and to customers.
- Plan and execute time studies for SCM Material Handlers.
- Perform line balancing and identify process improvements.
- Develop a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and determine minimum and maximum quantities for production lines.
- Improve material visualization.
- Provide weekly summary reports on daily tasks.
- Provide administrative support to the Supply Chain team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and Word to organize data and document results.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Warehouse experience with management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and accounting procedures is preferred.
