About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will support the daily production of medical devices. You will help the business meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals through engineering investigations of products, processes, materials, and equipment. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for Summer 2028.
What you'll do#
- Review daily reports and attend standups to prioritize tasks.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting and equipment problem solving.
- Manage projects and generate validation data and reports.
- Work to reduce scrap and increase output on specific manufacturing lines.
- Assist in the development of new products and processes.
- Improve existing manufacturing processes.
- Integrate technology with people to find real-world solutions.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team and apply your academic knowledge to practical engineering problems.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Ability to start on May 17th or May 24th, 2028, and commit to a 12-week term.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Skills in analytical techniques and statistical analysis.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to spot improvement opportunities.

- Location: Maple Grove, Minnesota.
- Work Modality: On-site (five days per week).
