About the role#
Android Industries is seeking an Operations Intern to support our Lansing manufacturing operations. This hands-on position provides exposure to production, team member development, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
What you'll do#
- Support daily manufacturing operations and collaborate with teams across the facility.
- Assist with team member onboarding, training, and development.
- Monitor training and performance requirements using tools like the Versatility Matrix.
- Support audits and compliance activities, including PVS, SOT, and 5S, while helping to identify and address gaps.
- Validate daily operational documentation and support accurate recordkeeping.
- Participate in daily 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture and support compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with staffing and scheduling activities to support operational needs.
- Support employee engagement activities.
- Use data to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve operational performance.
- Build positive working relationships across the facility.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations, or a related field.
- Completed at least one year of college coursework.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
- Previous work experience, ideally in manufacturing or operations, is preferred.
