About the role#
As a Maintenance Intern, you will support the Maintenance team with daily activities that keep the plant, production areas, and equipment clean, safe, and efficient. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while you learn about equipment care, preventive maintenance, and production support from experienced professionals.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Maintenance team with routine, non-technical maintenance and facility support tasks.
- Perform minor repairs under direction.
- Help with basic preventive maintenance activities.
- Clean and maintain production equipment and work areas.
- Respond to production line maintenance requests.
- Identify and report equipment concerns or unusual conditions.
- Use basic hand tools and equipment safely.
- Support Maintenance Technicians and Leaders with assigned projects.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Interest in manufacturing, maintenance, skilled trades, or industrial operations.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal oversight after training.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Current enrollment in a technical, trade, or manufacturing program is a plus.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or skilled trades is helpful but not required.
