About the role#
This internship provides exposure to estimating, preconstruction, project management, and field operations. You will support the team with bidding, scheduling, and cost management tasks. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Harlingen, Texas, with travel required.
What you'll do#
- Prepare Invitations to Bid and solicit trade proposals.
- Develop estimates and perform quantity take-offs.
- Assist with proposal development.
- Coordinate subcontractor meetings and conduct jobsite inspections.
- Perform, verify, and maintain punch lists.
- Process Requests for Information and manage records.
- Prepare change orders and review project drawings and plans.
- Participate in project reviews and corporate meetings.
- Uphold safety policies and support the company safety culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- A valid state-issued driver's license.
- A satisfactory driving record.
- Vehicle insurance that meets company liability coverage requirements.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, climbing, and reaching.
