About the role#
We are looking for an IT Specialist Intern to help with our corporate IT operations. You will gain hands-on experience by managing the day-to-day tasks that keep our systems running. You will work directly with experienced engineers to maintain infrastructure and learn how we manage hardware, software, and access. This role is for someone who is detail-oriented and wants to take ownership of tasks that keep the team productive.
What you'll do#
- Handle user onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning, hardware setup, and access removal.
- Manage our IT asset inventory by tracking, tagging, and auditing laptops and other equipment.
- Image, deploy, and prepare workstations for new hires.
- Maintain our stock of IT supplies and coordinate reorders when levels are low.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide support for common hardware and software issues.
- Assist with monitoring and alerting, triage issues, and update dashboards.
- Support software deployment and patching tasks.
- Write and improve IT documentation, including runbooks and how-to guides.
- Help with office IT logistics, such as setting up conference room AV and desk moves.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent certification path like A+ or Network+.
- A basic understanding of Windows and macOS, along with common productivity tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and comfort helping non-technical users.
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
- Experience with ticketing or ITSM systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with scripting basics like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- An interest in networking, identity management, or infrastructure automation.
- Prior customer service or help desk experience is helpful.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date.
