About the role#
Bot Auto is seeking Master's or Ph.D. students to join the core AI team for a 3 to 6 month internship. This role focuses on solving real-world edge cases in autonomous trucking through research and model development.
What you'll do#
- Implement and benchmark next-generation architectures, including multi-modal perception, online mapping, behavior prediction, and world models.
- Own a targeted research project from initial data analysis through to final model verification under senior mentorship.
- Train, tune, and optimize deep learning models using large-scale compute clusters and truck datasets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch with clean coding practices.
- Strong understanding of modern AI architectures, specifically Transformers.
- Availability to work full-time for at least 3 months.
- Academic thesis or project experience in areas such as multi-sensor perception, generative AI, motion prediction, or end-to-end autonomous driving.
- Preferred experience includes publications at top conferences like CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, or ICRA, as well as technical skills in Linux, Git, C++, or deployment tools such as TensorRT and ONNX.
