About the role#
The Materials Intern supports the Materials and Supply Chain team in maintaining efficient material flow throughout the facility. This role involves working with inventory management, logistics, and production support. You will contribute to daily plant operations by tracking materials, maintaining inventory records, and identifying opportunities to improve space utilization and efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Identify packing discrepancies and communicate space constraint issues.
- Input material flow data for parts into Excel spreadsheets.
- Optimize material flow and assist with inventory management.
- Receive and process incoming materials.
- Use scan guns to track and manage material movements.
- Process material transactions in ERP and WMS systems.
- Monitor material flow throughout the facility.
- Perform audits and cycle counts.
- Support MGO and AMTS activities.
- Support launch builds and related material activities.
- Track and communicate the status of assigned tasks and projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college as at least a fourth year student.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Pursuing a bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
