About the role#
ANDRITZ Canada is offering a Winter 2027 internship within the Health, Safety, and Environment (SSE) team. You will work on hydroelectric projects ranging in complexity while collaborating with experienced professionals. This role allows you to apply your university knowledge to practical, large-scale projects.
What you'll do#
- Support the preparation of weekly and monthly SSE meetings and bulletins.
- Help implement and update the health, safety, and environment plan and related procedures.
- Prepare project SSE documentation, including safe work procedures, activity risk analyses, and work plans.
- Organize SSE training modules and certifications.
- Coordinate SSE aspects for office and installation activities.
- Identify and propose immediate corrections for SSE gaps and verify the effectiveness of these measures.
- Work with the SSE operations manager or coordinator to maintain the company SSE management system.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor program in health and safety or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of safety regulations for construction sites.
- Strong communication skills in both oral and written forms.
- Ability to solve problems, including conducting root cause analysis.
- Integrity, good judgment, initiative, and creativity.
