About the role#
Amrize is hiring an Internal Audit Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a 10-week, paid, full-time internship based in Chicago. You will work directly with the corporate internal audit team to gain experience in financial risk evaluation, governance frameworks, and operational assessments.
What you'll do#
- Attend SOX walkthroughs and evaluate the design of controls with control owners.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, internal control deficiencies, and financial compliance risks.
- Review, update, and document business processes, workflows, and control procedures.
- Perform testing of key controls for the SOX 404 program and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Recommend practical solutions for identified control deficiencies.
- Use data analysis tools to test transaction populations and find anomalies.
- Draft audit findings, workpapers, and recommendations for management.
- Present your project learnings and contributions to the executive leadership team at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program for Accounting or Finance.
- Strong academic performance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach to new challenges and high energy.
- Ability to work as a team player across different levels of the organization.
- Geographic flexibility and a willingness to spend significant time in the field.

- Location: Chicago, Illinois.
- Modality: On-site, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
