About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in accounting within the aggregates and ready-mix industry. You will work alongside accounting professionals to support daily operations and gain insight into how financial data informs business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Help the accounting team complete month end closing tasks.
- Enter, review, and validate data in accounting systems.
- Create spreadsheets, reports, and other supporting documentation.
- Reconcile accounts and research discrepancies.
- Collaborate with staff to identify and resolve routine issues.
- Learn how financial information supports construction operations.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
